Dr. Erwin Benedict Valencia is an AWARD-WINNING MULTI-HYPHENATE: High-Performance Coach, Wellness Expert, GRATITUDE Scientist, Mentor, Speaker, 2x Non-Profit Founder, Community Leader, AI Enthusiast, Wellness Tech Advisor, and more.
His most recent post was with the New York Knicks as Director of Training and Conditioning, leading all Medical, Performance, & Wellness initiatives for close to a decade. He initiated the team’s mindfulness program alongside legendary coach Phil Jackson, started the 1st-ever in-season daily breathwork program in the NBA, and was the first to collaborate with the meditation app Headspace for it to be used as part of the team’s recovery strategies.
His current passions lie with his two non-profits, Grasshopper Project and GRATITUDE GANG, focusing on MENTORSHIP and MENTAL HEALTH respectively.
He is currently on a year-long SABBATICAL, spending more time in the Philippines, rediscovering his roots, giving back, and practicing what he preaches.
